Chia seeds can be used to make homemade jams, owing to their absorption properties. Simply soak ¼ seeds in ½-1 cup water for 5 minutes. Heat your favorite chopped berries (strawberries, mulberries, blueberries), until soft. Mash the berries and mix with the soaked chia. Let it cool down for 10-15 minutes. Chia seeds contain the highest amount of nutrition. ‘Chia’ means strength and has been consumed as a superfood. With high amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids, chia seeds are excellent for heart health. They also contain essential proteins and numerous vitamins/ minerals to promote general well-being.
